Book Review

This is the first book I have read by Beth Moore.  I was concerned by her popularity, that she pandered to an audience while compromising the truth of scripture.  It’s a sell-out you see with many popular Christian authors.  However, that isn’t what I found with this author.

Within the first two chapters I found a writer that knows the Bible.  I had a list of at least three friends that I wanted to share the book with.  I had copied and texted passages of the book to other friends, and I already had plans to read the book a second time with a highlighter.

This book is real and it is relevant.  It doesn’t play the victim role, but speaks to those that have had bad things happen to them, and those that have created their own bad situations.  The author doesn’t shy away from telling people to own their mistakes, and ask for forgiveness when needed.

This is a good book.  Beth Moore is a solid Bible teacher.  I recommend this book.
