Book Review

Let’s start with the basics of any Bible review, and then move on to the good stuff.  This is a standard print Bible, and while that tends to mean almost nothing based on the size of the Bible, in this case it means that the font is a good size, and is easily readable.  The cover is beautiful, and it includes 12 color pages within the text.  This is a single column Bible with nested boxes containing additional wisdom, but it would not qualify as a study Bible.

One of the features that we really enjoyed with this Bible were the pages of lists.  Periodically within the text, there is a full-color page with a list on it.  For example, near page 1326, there is a list titled, “60 of Satan’s Favorite Lies”, with a scripture reference next to it to refute it.  There are also articles called Battlelines that answer questions and challenges presented by today’s culture, calling on young men to choose today whom they will serve.  There are 200 “Be the Change”, 100 “God Calling, and 100 “Live the Revolution” articles found throughout the text of scripture.

With NIV translations, you can expect to find a solid representation of the Bible that you can trust to put in the hands of any young man.  He will get the power of God’s Word presented to him in a legible, accurate, and easy to understand format.  In addition, you will get challenges to the lifestyle that the world is telling him is normal.  We enjoyed this Bible, and we think you will too.
